July 19, 2026 : Peeled Chili Pepper with Pork Dumpling + Hot and Sour Soup

This was probably the most memorable dumpling experience I’ve had in 2026. When I first saw the menu, I was intrigued by the idea of using peeled chili peppers as a dumpling filling. In Taiwanese cuisine, peeled chili pepper is a traditional ingredient used by the indigenous people to enhance the flavor of chicken soup, so I never expect to see it be made into dumpling fillings. I was curious to discover how this unique combination would come together.

Although the dumplings are marked as spicy on the menu, they were mild. To my surprise, the unique aroma of the peeled chili pepper paired beautifully with the fresh pork filling, creating a perfect balanced flavor. The dumpling skin was also noticeably thicker than the ones I’ve tried before, giving it a satisfying chewiness.
