Lang Hong Kong-Style Pork Bao (郎港式鮮肉包) is a popular takeaway stall in Huajiang Evening Market near MRT Jiangzicui in New Taipei City. Unlike a traditional steamed bao stall, it specializes in just one item : Pan-Fried Pork Bao (鮮肉包). The bao are prepared throughout the day and cooked in large pans until the bottoms develop a golden, lightly crisp crust, while the upper dough remains soft and chewy. Each bao is generously filled with seasoned pork and finished with black sesame seeds.

1st visit :

July 6th, 2026 : Pan-Fried Pork Bao (鮮肉包)

The fresh bao I saw the stall owner making when I visited

When I arrived at the stall, the owner was busy taking a fresh batch of pork bao out of the pan, so I immediately bought one. It was incredibly hot. Even though the owner gave me an extra plastic bag to protect my hand, it was still almost too hot to hold.

As soon as I took my first bite, the juice from the filling actually squirted out. The pork filling was incredibly juicy and moist without being dry at all. Most importantly, each pork bao (鮮肉包) costs only NT $20. Finding something this fresh and filling for just NT $20 in Taipei these days is pretty amazing.
